MILTON WIN THE BATTLE TO GO TOP

Milton came into this game after a bad performance last week and needed to lift there game as we arrived to play the league leaders AFC Hinksey it was a beautiful day for football the sun was out and Milton's attitude from the kick off was to win this game and they didn't let anyone down all the lads played some great football,with new signing Tom Austin settling in quick on the right side with some great runs and was a big threat to Hinksey. The pitch today was very tricky as it had been under water for weeks and the top surface had terrible movement under foot that had players slipping up just on turning with the ball. The game was a battle as we expected and some times a war with three players for AFC Hinksey being sent off and the Manager red carded at the end. Milton showed great composure today and were rewarded with a penalty kick after a Milton player was taken out in the box. New signing Tom Austin stepped up and sent the ball neatly to the right side of the Hinksey keeper who got a finger to it but the ball was to powerful to stop. Milton are now at the Top of the league and rightfully so after this great performance they don't come much harder than todays game.
