Goals from Chris Brind 2, Adam Bruce 1 pen, Ben Taylor 1,Jason McCabe 1

Milton United were at home to Headington Amateurs on Saturday who are currently in second place. this was to be are first game of 2014 after last Saturdays wash out of the pitch, and the disappointment of the game being called off was soon put to bed, when the whistle went for the start of this game Milton went straight at Headington with a great winning attitude from all the players who were all working hard. and on the 7th minute Chris Brind rewarded there hard work with a fine finish to put Milton ahead. The game started to flow now with lots of attacking play and two clear cut chances were missed by Robbie Joyce who deserved a goal today because he was a constant threat up front. on the 22nd minute the referee awarded Milton a penalty and Adam Bruce put the ball neatly past the Headington keeper.

Second Half.
Once again Milton started attacking the Headington goal again and on the 60th minute the ball was cleared out by the Headington defence and landed to the feet of Chris Brind who fired a thunderbolt of a shot that left the keeper with no chance. Some great work down the wing by Ben Taylor finally paid of when the ball fell to Taylor who finished neatly past the Headington keeper on the 68th minute. Paul Bedwell then decided to make some changes and used all three substitute's and the tempo started to pick up again. Headington were awarded a penalty and scored from this opportunity but never looked a threat to are back four who were fantastic the whole game. Are youngest player Jason McCabe who came on in the second half scored on 87th minute this was Jason's first ever goal in men's football and all the players were quick to run and congratulate him, and hopefully this will be the start of a great career in men's football for Jason. On a final note about this game it was great to see the team back and the great start we have had in the 2013 season has followed us into the new year, so let us keep focused on the task ahead and we can hopefully be victorious in 2014 Happy New Year to everyone
