Milton United came out on top today but credit to Finchampstead United players who gave Milton a game that the form they are showing in the league doesn't compare to how they played today, they always looked a threat and looked like they could score goals but Milton got first blood when a Milton player was brought down out side the box in the 23rd minute and the referee gave Milton a free kick Jonny James stepped up to take it and drove the ball hard and low to the right of the keeper who had no chance of saving it. Miltons play started to get sloppy and we paid for that when a free kick was awarded on the 38th minute on the half way line and the cross was not dealt with and in a flurry of feet and legs the ball fell to Finchampstaed and they slotted the ball home to make it 1-1. The second half Milton United came out and I would imagine after a few choice words from Paul Bedwell and Marcus about the team performance in the first half, things were going to get better, It was at the end of the game when we started to look a danger again and on the 86th minute the ball fell to Pat Howe who made a fine finish to give Milton all Three points. On a final thought for this game we need to be up for every game because if we let are guard down against teams that we think we should win against it will come back and bite us a bit like today never judge a book by its cover.
