Milton United returned from Lydney Town with a point after a 0-0 draw.

Milton United picked up their second point of the season with a second away draw.
Both sides had good spells in the game, Milton started the brighter with Ashley Searle heading at Richard Thomas in the second minute before Lydney Town had two great opportunities both falling to centre back Sam Elliott who first volleyed over from close range in the 17th minute before heading over in the 22nd minute.
Milton's Ollie Thomas' free kick was flicked wide by Niall Hodgkins in the 27th minute before Tom Austin's free kick hit the top of the cross bar. The lively Jarred liddington worked serveral opportunities but failed to trouble Craig Griffith's in the Milton goal.
Hodgkin's header was saved by Richard Thomas in the 66th minute before Thomas again tipped over Hodgkins curling effort in the closing minutes. Lydney Town should of taken all three points when Pete Macklin close range effort hit the bar and was cleared to safety in injury time.

"It's a good point all considered" Said Manager Paul Bedwell "Thursday night at training we had four subs and by the time we left on Saturday we had one plus me, I said I wasn't going to sign on this year but only did it at the last minute as cover, I'm disappointed with some of the lads, There not letting me down but letting there team mates down, we have had to travel a couple of hours then play in 30 degree heat and we where dead on our feet late on and its me who's coming on to help them, I hope the lads that let us down realise the effort it took to get us a point."

With defender Jon Stott and left backs Cameron Mcneill and Taylor Janes missing it meant a reshuffle at the back with right back Jack Bernasconi playing left back and Midfielder Daniel Cox-Rodgers playing at centre back. "I was delighted with the clean sheet considering the reshuffled we had to do, we had a couple of switch off moments but its a platform to work from, Scotty (Scott Davis) has been superb, he is a proper old fashion centre half and has defiantly made us a stronger unit."
Milton have now failed to score in three of their four league games but that isn't concerning Bedwell just yet.
"Apart from the Thame game, we have created chances so it doesn't concern me just yet, its going to take time to gel it still early days but I am keeping me eye out to see if there is anyone who can improve us but I m happy with how the squad looks"
