Long Crendon like us had a great start to their season until losing to Pershore at the weekend. We knew it would be a tough game and the boys were fully prepared going in.
We had an ideal start with Kieran Cooper scoring the opening within the first 6 minutes with a amazing run from his own half ending with a quality finish. This set the tempo of the game and we were on top from there on. After looking in control for most of the half we found ourself 2-0 up. Just before half time, a Crendon player came charging in on Freddie Kennedy which resulted in a yellow card which arguably should of been a red. However our number 4 Mikey decided to take things into his own hands and get involved in handbags and got himself sent off. This gave Crendon and chance going into the second half and they punished us with a in swingy corner to make it 2-1. With our backs against the wall we had to push in and defend, however a moment of brilliance from Freddie put us 3-1 up against the run of play. Followed by 2 more quick goals from Louis and Freddie again we found ourself deservingly 5-1 up. The boys were quality however we still have a lot to work on before going into the bank holiday weekend where we face Longwell and a strong Pershore side over the weekend.
