Southam started the game quite strong and there formation caused us a few issues early doors. They were direct and physical and had a clear game plan. They clipped the cross bar early on, which was a wake up call for Milton. We scored soon after by playing them at there own game and going direct from Westy into Louis Joyce which concluded with Harry Thomas scoring the opener. Despite not starting great in the scorching heat we soon took control of them game with Freddie Kennedy showing some great skill in the box winning a penalty, which Louis Joyce put away. Matty Woodley sealed the impressive first half with a 30 yard free kick which rattled the back of the net.
The second half showed little action in terms of goals however, the heat took over and it became a little heated between the teams resulting in Southam receiving a red card both on the pitch and the bench. Milton kept there cool and deservingly got their first clean sheet of the season.
