A Niall Hodgkins hat-trick and a Ben Taylor header gave Milton United victory over Whitchurch United.
Hodgkins opened the scoring from close range after Debutant Ashley Searle shot was saved before Whitchurch equalised with a free header at the back post. Milton United regained the lead when Taylor Janes picked the ball up 30 yards from goal following a cleared corner, he jinked pass a couple of players before squaring to Hodgkins who rifled in off the underside of the bar to give Milton United a 2-1 half time lead.
Whitchurch United had a chance to level when another debutant Johnny Naish made a rash tackle in the penalty area and the resulting penalty was saved superbly by Craig Griffiths down to his bottom left.
Hodgkins completed his hat-trick after great work again by Ashley Searle who found Hodgkins who picked his spot in the bottom corner.
Whitchurch had the ball in the net but it was ruled out for off side and then shortly after Scott Davis cleared another header off the line before Ben Taylor excellently headed home off the post with the last action of the game.
